Katie Alyx writes dark romance and horror. Her books are filled with morally questionable people, messy relationships, terrible decisions, and the occasional situation where everyone probably should have just gone home. A lifelong reader, Katie gravitates toward stories that are dark, strange, emotional, and a little unhinged. Some of her favorite authors include C.M. Stunich, Candace Wondrak, Paul Tremblay, and Angel Lawson, and her own books tend to wander somewhere between dark romance and horror. Sometimes landing firmly in one genre and sometimes refusing to choose. Katie is legally blind and is usually accompanied by her guide dog, Quincey, who remains completely unimpressed by the number of fictional people her human has killed. When she isn't writing or reading, Katie can usually be found listening to music, going to concerts, or finding yet another reason to plan her life around a band she absolutely needs to see.
